Welcome to Future Leaders of American Football (FLAG) powered by Gridiron Football. We’ve been serving the communities of Petaluma and Santa Rosa for more than 10 years, offering a flag football experience unlike any other in Sonoma County. Our league is run like Little League, with a tryout and draft. So whether you’re new to the sport or a veteran of our league, every athlete has the opportunity to play. And every athlete who signs up will be assigned to a team.

Dante DePaola currently serves as the Head Football Coach for the Santa Rosa Junior College. But his love of the game didn’t start there. He grew up playing quarterback and defensive back in high school before enrolling at Cal as a walk-on. He soon earned a full ride scholarship, became team captain and received numerous awards. After college, Coach DePaola signed as a free agent to the Baltimore Ravens where he played defensive back, and then to the Barcelona Dragons where he played for the World Bowl Championship and achieved All-NFL Europe Honors as a defensive back. He and his wife Tinya, who have been together since high school, have two children, Santia and Gitano.

John Antonio currently serves as the Athletic Director for Casa Grande High School. Prior to that, he served as the Head Coach of the Casa Grande High School football team and a Petaluma Police Officer. Growing up, he was a standout three-sport athlete at St. Vincent where he was all-league in both football and baseball. He attended Santa Rosa Junior College and then the San Francisco Police Academy. Coach Antonio is a highly regarded youth football coach and, together with Coach DePaola, has pioneered youth flag football in the North Bay for over ten years. He and his wife, Kendra, have two children, Andrew and Connor.
